Couple Having Links with Fugitive Khalistani Amritpal Arrested near Indo-Pak Border

Jammu: A man and his wife having alleged close links with the fugitive pro-Khalistan activist and Waris Punjab De chief Amritpal Singh, were nabbed near the India-Pakistan border in Ranbirsinghpura of Jammu district.

According to the Jammu police, the arrested couple was actually having links with Papalpreet Singh who is on the run with Amritpal Singh. The arrested couple was identified as Amrik Singh and his wife Sarabjeet Kaur.

They were handed over to the Punjab Police for further investigation.

The Special Operations Group (SOG) of J&K Police and a camping team of the Punjab Police are continuing raids in Jammu and Kashmir. Pro-Khalistan activists have in the past been taking shelter in certain areas of Jammu, Samba, and Kathua districts.

Papalpreet and Amritpal were last seen on 19 March at Shahabad in Haryana’s Kurukshetra.
