Cyber ​​Security course to be made compulsory in UG-PG: UGC to implement new rules

New Delhi: University Grants Commission (UGC) is going to implement a new rule. UGC is going to make cyber security courses compulsory at Under Graduate (UG) and Post Graduate (PG) levels. The UGC committee has prepared a draft for it.

UG and PG students will be taught for 75 hours for the entire course. The theory will be of 45 hours and the practical will be of 30 hours.

On the occasion of Cyber ​​Awareness Day on October 6, UGC Chairman Professor M. Jagdish Kumar announced. Students will be trained through cyber security courses on how to keep passwords safe, how to manage phone applications, digital payments security and fraud prevention, what cyber attacks are and how to avoid them, e-commerce and digital literacy, social media security, cyber rules, and keeping your Wi-Fi safe from others.

In this course, students will be taught about cyber security and threats. The child will be imparted technical knowledge and essential skills for safety. Cyber ​​threats will be protected. Skills will be developed among the children to avoid information technology scams. As a result, they can plan, implement and monitor. Knowledge of cyber security rights and regulatory, legal, financial, environmental, social, and ethical contexts will be imparted.
