Cyclone Biparjoy Likely To Make Landfall On June 15 In Gujarat’s Kutch

Ahmedabad: The extremely severe cyclonic storm Biparjoy is likely to make landfall near Jakhau port on June 15, said IMD.

Following this, section 144 has been imposed in Kutch till Friday, June 16.

Reportedly, the NDRF has pre-positioned 12 teams, which are equipped with boats, tree-cutters and telecom equipment, and has kept 15 teams on standby.

Apart from Gujarat, preparations have been made in Mumbai as the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) deployed two additional teams in the city as a precautionary measure. NDRF teams have been stationed in the Andheri and Kanjurmarg areas in the western and eastern suburbs, respectively.
