Daler Mehndi’s Unauthorised Farm House Sealed off by Authorities

Chandigarh: A farmhouse owned by famous Punjabi singer Daler Mehndi was sealed off at Sohna of Punjab on Tuesday. This unauthorized farmhouse was located near Damdama lake. His farmhouse was built on a patch of 1.5 acres.

According to officials of Department of Town and Country Planning (DTCP), two other illegally constructed farmhouses in the same area were also sealed off.

These farmhouses including the one owned by Daler Mehndi were unauthorized constructions in the reservoir area of the lake. These were developed in the Aravalli range without any proper permission.

The action was initiated against these unauthorized farmhouses as per an order of the National Green Tribunal (NGT).

A team of DTCP officials took up action against the illegal constructions in the presence of the magistrate and revenue officials.
