Dawn to Dusk Bandh in Malkangiri Demanding Eviction of Bangladeshis

Malkangiri: A 12-hour dawn to dusk bandh was observed by the Hindu Jagran Manch in the Malkangiri district on Friday demand the eviction of Bangladeshi residing in the district.

The protestors also demonstrated against the atrocities on Hindus in Bangladesh.

This bandh call affected traffic movement, businesses, and furnctioning of the educational institutions in the district.

The bandh affected normal life in several parts of the Malkangiri district. Vehicular traffic remained standstill in most areas. However, ambulance and emergency services were exempted from the bandh.

The protestors demanded the government to initiate immediate action against Bangladeshi nationals living in Malkangiri district without proper identification documents. They should be arrested and deported promptly, the said.
