Disguised As Priest, Man Attempts To Kill Former TDP MP

Kakinada: Seshagiri Rao Polnati, a leader of the Telugu Desam Party and a former MP, was injured by an assailant who was disguised as a priest. The incident happened at 6.30 am on November 17. A video clip of this attack, caught on a CCTV camera, is making rounds on social media.

The incident happened at Sheshagiri’s home in Tuni city, in the Kakinada district of Andhra Pradesh.

The identity of the assailer is yet to be ascertained by the police.

“On Thursday morning, at around 6:30 am, a man dressed like a priest entered the house of TDP leader and former MP Seshagiri Rao Polnati and attacked him with a sharp weapon, injuring him. He immediately fled the spot. A case has been registered. The accused is absconding, and further investigations are underway,” the police informed.
