Disney to Sack 4000 More Employees; Managers Directed to Search Weak Candidates

Disney is reportedly planning yet another round of layoffs. As per reports, around 4000 employees may be affected by this decision. In February, Disney had fired around 7000 employees to reduce expenditures. Major tech companies like Google, Amazon, Meta, Twitter, Wipro etc have also opted for major layoffs to cope with rough economic conditions.

Quoting a business insider, India Today reported that managers working at Disney have been asked to submit a list of candidates who may be fired. The next phase of layoffs in Disney is expected to occur in April. It is unclear whether the layoffs will happen all at once, or will be phased out in smaller batches.
