Drug Peddler Nabbed From Bhubaneswar Town

Bhubaneswar: An evading drug dealer has been arrested by the Special Task Force (STF) of Odisha Police and seized 1050 grams of brown sugar from his possession.

The drug peddler has been identified as Dipak Kumar Nayak of the Jajpur districts’ New Kalipani. He was residing in Bhubaneswar’s Forest park locality.

After getting reliable inputs on Tuesday, an STF squad conducted raids on Sundarpada- Jatni road under Airfield police’s jurisdiction and arrested one Umesh Behera.

Following this, the STF sleuths seized over 1 kilogram of contraband and a four-wheeler from him. However, the prime accused Nayak managed to flee the scene.

Launching a manhunt, cops arrested the accused today and forwarded him to the court of District and Sessions Judge-cum-Special Judge, Bhubaneswar. Further investigations are underway.
