Drugs worth 1200 crore seized in capital city

New Delhi: The special cell of Delhi Police has seized about 325 kg of drugs in the capital. In addition, two Afghan citizens have been arrested. The estimated value of the seized drugs in the international market is Rs 1200 crore. The drugs were meant to be used in terrorist activities against India.

These drugs first came from Chennai to Lucknow and then to Delhi. According to the police, the two Afghan nationals arrested are Mustafa, a resident of Kabul, and Chaimullah, a resident of Ajnia. These two were supplying drugs on a large scale under the Narco Terror Syndicate.

Both have been living as refugees in India since 2016. At the time of arrest, a small quantity of drugs was found with them. However, the police informed that a large quantity of drugs was found from them during the investigation. The seized drugs include 312.5 kg of methamphetamine and 10 kg of heroin. The police said that this is the first time that such a quantity of drugs has been seized from the capital Delhi. It is said that these drugs were to be supplied from Delhi to Haryana, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, and Rajasthan.
