Drunk Youth Murders Friend in Kandhamal; Arrested by Police

Phulbani: An inebriated youth allegedly killed his friend in Sarangada of Kandhamal district in Odisha on Tuesday night. The accused Manoj Pujari was arrested.

The deceased Jitendra Pujari was a childhood friend of the accused. Both of them lived in the Puruna Sahi area of Sarangada. According to them a drunken brawl between them led to the murder.

According to police sources, Jitendra and Manoj had gone out on Tuesday night to have their dinner together. They consumed alcohol as part of their partying.

After getting drunk they had a heated argument over some issues. In a rage, Manoj crushed the head of his friend with a stone. Some locals spotted the body of the victim and informed police.

The body was seized by police for autopsy. Police arrested Manoj.
