Dumper Crashes Into House Killing Elderly Woman in Mayurbhanj

Baripada: An elderly woman died when a dumper crashed into her house at Purunapani village under Rairangpur police station limits in the Mayurbhanj district on Saturday.

The dumper lost control and rammed into the house by the side of NH220 at Purunapani village. The deceased identified as Kamala Patra (65) died as a wall of her house collapsed on her when the lorry hit it.

Kamala was rushed to a nearby hospital where she was declared dead.

The locals blocked the highway demanding compensation for the family of the victim. The vehicular traffic was disrupted. Personnel of the Rairangpur Town police station have reached the spot to pacify the agitators.
