Earthquake of 7.0 Magnitude Hits Solomon Island
Honiara (Solomon Island): An earthquake of 7.0 magnitudes struck Malango in Solomon islands today morning.
The US Geological Survey said the magnitude 7.0 earthquake on Tuesday was centered in the Malango in Solomon islands province at a depth of 17km.
A tsunami warning was issued after the earthquake.
“Hazardous tsunami waves possible for coasts within 300 km of quake epicenter,” said the US tsunami warning system.
