ED Summons Actor Ranbir Kapoor in Online Betting Case

Mumbai: Actor Ranbir Kapoor has been summoned by the Enforcement Directorate to appear before it on Friday in connection with a case involving an online gaming app, reported NDTV. according to sources, the actor is summoned in connection to the Mahadev online betting case.

In September, ED seized assets worth Rs 417 crore in connection with the Mahadev online betting case.

The company promoters hail from Bhilai in Chhattisgarh and the Mahadev Online Book Betting application is an umbrella syndicate arranging online platforms for enabling illegal betting websites.

Mahadev Online Book App is run from a central head office in the UAE.
