Epidemic and unknown disease taking lives, people still infected

Malkangiri: Epidemic and unknown disease spreading over a particular area. The death toll has increased to 10 in a week. It has caused panic in Haldikund, Matheli block of Malkangiri district. Villagers are dying due to sudden fever with swollen hands and feet.

Around 15 people are still infected in the village. Instead of hospitals, some people are taking shelter by believing in the thunderbolts. The villagers of Takliguda and Bamanguda are also infected with this unknown disease. Initially, a team from the health department arrived and explained to the people and managed to take 4 people to the health center.
