Excise Squad Seizes Heroin Worth Over Rs 24 Lakhs From Odisha’s Cuttack; 2 Arrested

Cuttack: A squad of the Excise Commissionerate in Cuttack has seized heroin worth more than Rs 24 lakh from a spot in Phulnakhara, between Bhubaneswar and Cuttack in Odisha. The police have also arrested two people with this connection.

The two accused were identified as Bikash Rout and Prakash Swain, natives of Niali in Cuttack.

According to sources, the squad led by IIC Dilip Kumar Behera carried out surprise checks at an undeclared location near Phulnakhra and seized a significant quantity of drugs. The squad also seized a motorcycle used for peddling drugs.
