Forest Dept Employees Critical After Being Shot During Patrolling

Boudh: Two employees of the forest department sustained critical bullet injuries after allegedly being shot by unknown miscreants during patrolling near Khaliaali Chakk in Odisha’s Boudh district.

The injured were identified as Nilachal Pradhan and Naba Kumar Sahu. Five other employees including the additional Forest Conservator had a narrow escape from the firing incident.

According to reports, some miscreants opened fire on the forest department team while patrolling near Khaliapali Chakk in the Baghiapada range of the district. After firing, the accused fled from the spot in two bikes.

The injured employees were rushed to Boudh General Hospital in critical condition.

On being informed, police started to probe into the matter.
