Gang Rape of 3 Minor Girls in Kalahandi Dist

Bhubaneswar: Three minor girls were allegedly gang raped in Lanjigarh police station limits in Kalahandi district in the wee hours of Thursday. They were sexually assaulted while they were returning back to their homes after watching an opera show staged during Maa Tarini Jatra.

The parents of the victims lodged complaints with the police. As per the FIR, at around 4 am, while the girls were returning back to their homes, five youths allegedly used force to take the girls to a deserted place and gang-raped them.

The five youths threatened the victims of dire consequences if the latter revealed it before anyone. They managed to escape from the spot.

Acting on the FIR, Lanjigarh police registered a case and have started an investigation.
