Girl Ends Life As Her Wedding Gets Cancelled in Dhenkanal Dist

Dhenkanal: A young girl allegedly ended her life by hanging herself at Nuatipilei village under the Bhuban police limits in Dhenkanal district on Sunday night.

The deceased Dipa Pradhan, the daughter of Premananda Pradhan allegedly took the drastic step when her proposed marriage got canceled.

Dipa was a post-graduate student and she was in love with Chintu Dalei. The families of both of them decided to solemnise their marriage after they came to know about their affair.

But for some reason, the groom’s family cancelled their wedding proposal. It was a shock for Dipa, who allegedly committed suicide by hanging herself to a ceiling fan on Sunday night.

As per reports, the deceased wrote her lover’s name and his phone number on her palm before taking the extreme step.

Bhuban police seized the body for post-mortem and have launched an investigation into it.
