Girl Student Jumps from Three-Storey Building after Scoring 2nd Division in Plus 2 Exam

Balasore: A girl student allegedly attempted to end her life by jumping off a three-storey building in Balasore district. She was in extremely distressed condition after coming to know that she had secured second division in the Plus 2 Science exam conducted by CHSE Odisha. Results of higher secondary Science and Commerce were announced by the CHSE on Wednesday.

The student was identified as Itishree Mahal, daughter of Laxman Mahal of Simulia in Nilagiri area of the district. Luckily she had a miraculous escape even after jumping from the terrace of the three-storey building. Her family members admitted her to the Nilagiri hospital. Later she was shifted to Balasore District Head Quarter Hospital as her condition deteriorated.

As per reports, after the results were announced, Itishree got upset as she had scored second division in the examinations. She went to the terrace of her home and jumped down.
