Hindu Wedding by Muslim League in Kerala Temple

Thiruvananthapuram: The youth wing of the Indian Union Muslim League (IUML) conducted a Hindu wedding ceremony at a Malappuram temple in Kerala on Sunday. It was a show of communal harmony by a party that is always branded as communal.

The couple that got married was Vishnu and Geetha. Their wedding ceremony was held at the Vengara Sri Ammancheri Bhagavathi temple of Malappuram.

Muslim League state president Syed Sadiq Ali Shihab Thangal, along with senior leader and MLA PK Kunhalikutty, took part in this wedding ceremony and blessed the newly married couple. Several leaders of the CPI (M) and the Congress also attended this marriage.

Geetha was a resident of Rose Manor Short Stay Home in Manattiparambu, Vengara. The superintendent of the Stay Home arranged the alliance of Geetha with Vishnu. The youth wing of IUML provided financial assistance for the marriage ceremony. The Muslim League workers of Vengara Manattiparambu organised the wedding. The marriage ‘mandap’ was erected in the courtyard of Ammancheri Bhagavathi Temple.
