HSRP number plate verification to begin: Rs 10,000 fine if caught, transport department issues notice

New Delhi: The High-Security Registration Plate (HSRP) period of old vehicles (last number 1, 2, 3, 4) registered before April 1, 2019, will expire on 30 September. Given the flood situation in the state, the state government has extended the last number 1, and 2, which was to end on August 31, to September 30. However, action will be taken against the High-Security Registration Plate (HSRP) in the state from October 1. A notification has been issued by the state transport department.

The Joint Transport Commissioner said, as of September 13, a total of 10,65,312 vehicle owners have booked slots. Out of them, HSRP has been installed in 59, 37, and 17 lanes. If the vehicle is not registered with HSRP within the prescribed date under MV Section 192 Act 1988, an e-challan will be issued against the said vehicle offender. Along with this, a fine of 5 thousand or 10 thousand rupees will be charged.

The vehicles whose registration marks and registration numbers end in 1 and 2 will be fitted with HSRP number plates by September 30. By 30th September for numbers ending in 3 and 4, by 31st October for numbers ending in 5 and 6, by 30th November for numbers ending in 7 and 8, by 30th November for numbers ending in 9 and 0 It has been made mandatory to install HSRP number plates by December 31.
