Israel’s Bombing Kills 3 Members of Palestinian Islamic Jihad Movement

Israeli army’s bombing on Gaza on Tuesday morning under ‘Operation Shield and Arrow’ killed three senior members of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad movement, reported The Times of Israel.

The Israeli army bombed the targets in the Gaza Strip just after 2 am in a coordinated surprise attack on the senior leaders of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad movement. Ahead of this major attack, Israeli residents of areas within 40 kilometers of Gaza were directed to stay near bomb shelters as there were fears of retaliatory attacks. As per the health ministry of the Hamas-controlled territory, at least nine people were killed in the bombing. It was alleged that the wives of the commanders and their children were also among the dead.

The Israeli army named the slain Palestinian leaders as Khalil Bahitini, who commands Islamic Jihad in northern Gaza, Jahed Ahnam, a top official in the group’s military council, and Tarek Azaldin, who it said directs Islamic Jihad terror activities in the West Bank from a base in Gaza, reported to The Times of Israel.
