Jharkhand By-Poll: Voting Begins for Ramgarh Assembly Seat

Ramgarh (Jharkhand): Jharkhand by-election for the Ramgarh Assembly seat has already begun. Around 3.35 lakh Voters will exercise their right to the franchise from morning 7 am to evening 5 pm. 18 candidates are in the fray for the Ramgarh Assembly seat.

Polling parties have been stationed at 405 polling centres for the by-election. The counting of votes will be done on March 2. The election was necessitated after the disqualification of Mamta Devi as MLA.

The district administration has made elaborate security arrangements for free and fair polling during the by-election.

Meanwhile, the District Election Officer cum Deputy Commissioner of Ramgarh, Madhavi Mishra has appealed to all the voters to cast their votes without fear. SP Piyush Pandey said that sufficient security forces have been deployed in the constituency.
