Kashmir’s first multiplex to be inaugurated

Jammu: A new face of Kashmir is going to emerge in recent years. Now after almost 3 decades, something is going to happen again in Ghati for which people are waiting with great excitement. The first multiplex is going to be inaugurated there on Tuesday. The multiplex will be opened to the general public on Tuesday with a special screening of Bollywood actor Aamir Khan’s film ‘Lal Singh Chaddha’.

On 30th September, the regular show will start here with the film ‘Bikram Beda’ screening, starring Hrithik Roshan and Chef Ali Khan.

This first multiplex in Kashmir has 3 film theaters with a total capacity of 520 seats. It will also have a ‘food court’ on its premises to promote local cuisine. The scheduled inauguration of the multiplex operated by Inox comes at a time when Jammu and Kashmir Governor Manoj Sinha inaugurated one multi-purpose cinema hall each in Pulwama and Shopian districts on Sunday. The cinema hall in Ghati has reopened after 3 decades. From 1989-90, theater owners closed cinema halls in Ghati after threats and attacks by terrorists.
