Know Whether Sex Championship in Sweden is a Reality or Hoax

It is viral on social media and the internet that Sweden is going to host a sex championship in June. This news first appeared on Twitter and now it has been carried as news by several news agencies and media outlets.

As per the claim this sex championship will be inaugurated on June 8 and it will continue for several weeks. During this never before championship, the participants will compete for six hours every day.

But this is nothing but a piece of fake news, reported Swedish media house Goterborgs-Posten. But it is true that a proposal for it was made in April 2023, which was rejected by the authorities.

According to the Swedish media, there is a Federation of Sex in Sweden with Dragan Bractic as its chief. Dragan had announced to organize a championship to highlight the physical and mental health impact of sex on human beings. The organization had applied to become a member of the National Sports Confederation, which was denied.

Dragan owns several strip clubs in Sweden and hoped to classify sex as a sport. Some tweets claimed that the activities, or ‘matches’, were meant to have a duration of 45 minutes to 1 hour. There would be 16 disciplines with each participant scoring 5 to 10 points.

The unconfirmed reports also claimed that 20 people had registered for the championship.
