Kolkata Girls Mock National Anthem While Smoking Cigarettes; FIR Lodged

Kolkata: An FIR has been lodged against two girls from Kolkata for mocking India’s National Anthem while smoking cigarettes.

According to reports, a video of them was widely circulated on social media. As soon as the video went viral, several netizens, including a Calcutta High Court lawyer, demanded action against the girls.

Following this, an FIR was lodged against the two girls for mocking the National Anthem at the Barrackpore cyber cell on Sunday.

Talking about the viral video, the girls were seen singing the National Anthem while sitting and with a cigarette in hand. Reportedly, the two girls are minors.

However, soon after they received backlash from the netizens, they deleted the social media account.
