Lady Blackmailer Case: Businessman Amiyakanta Das Appears before ED

Bhubaneswar: Businessman Amiyakant Das appeared before Enforcement Directorate (ED) today in connection to the Archana Nag case. He had been summoned by the ED for questioning.

Reportedly, Amiyakanta had deposited Rs 10 lakh in the bank account of Archana and her husband Jagabandhu in 2021-22.

Odia film Producer Akshaya Parija will also appear before ED today. Earlier, citing health grounds he had skipped his appearance before ED.

The ED has taken up the lady blackmailer Archana Nag’s money laundering case for investigation.

ED is trying to trace out the source of the huge amount of money and costly assets in possession of Archana and her husband. The bank accounts and properties of the couple are under the purview of the ED investigation.

It is alleged that Archana was trapping and blackmailing politicians, businessmen, and other influential persons through secret camera videos of their intimate moments. She is accused to have extorted lakhs of rupees from these big-shot victims of her honey trap.

She is alleged to have amassed assets worth over Rs 30 crore including a palatial house in the capital city, luxurious cars, and other valuables. And she could procure it in just four years from 2018 to 2022.
