LED TV Explosion: One Dead, Three Wounded

Ghaziabad: A 16-year-old boy lost his life when an LED TV burst at his home in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh, while three people were left wounded: his mother, sister-in-law, and a friend.

According to the authorities, the explosion was so powerful that concrete slabs and a section of the wall fell, creating panic among the neighbours.

Omendra, the teen, had severe shrapnel wounds after being struck by tiny projectiles to the face, chest, and neck, according to the police

The deceased teen’s neighbour, Vinita, reported hearing a tremendous bang. She thought that a gas cylinder had exploded, she added.

When the LED TV exploded, Omendra, his mother, sister-in-law, and friend Karan were present.

Omendra was taken to a hospital in a serious state but unfortunately, he could not be revived. Whereas, his mother and friend are still under medical supervision.

A relative of the deceased teen, Monica, claimed to have been in another room when the explosion occurred. She claimed that the explosion was so strong that it caused the whole home to shake and portions of the wall to collapse.

The incident is being looked into, according to the police.
