Leopard Kills 14-Yr-Old Girl in UP’s Bijnor

Lucknow: Leopard attack claimed the life of a 14-year-old girl in Uttar Pradesh’s Bijnor, police informed Saturday. She was going to a temple when she was attacked by a wild leopard.

The victim was identified as Aditi from Chhota Kiratpur village under Nagina police station in the Bijnor district of Uttar Pradesh. She was on her way to a temple near her village along with her mother on Friday evening when a leopard came out of the jungle to attack her.

Hearing the cries of the victim and her mother, the villagers rushed to the spot. Seeing the crowd of villagers the leopard fled into the nearby jungle.

The victim was admitted to a Community Health Centre (CHC) where she succumbed to her injuries. Villagers have demanded adequate compensation for the family of the deceased.
