Low pressure will take form of precipitation in 24 hours

Bhubaneswar (Odisha Bhaskar): A low pressure area is becoming active in Andra coast west of Odisha. It will condense in the next 24 hours and take the form of precipitation. It is likely to pass through Odisha-Chhattisgarh. It will move in the West-North-West direction.

However, the entire state has been drenched in heavy rain for the past two days. The entire Odisha is in the rain. Bhubaneswar Regional Metrological Center has informed that under the influence of low pressure, heavy to very heavy rains are likely to occur in the whole of Odisha for the next 3 days i.e. till 11th.

Yellow warning has been issued due to heavy rain in most districts of South Odisha. Malkangiri, Koraput, Nabarangpur, Nuapada, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Boudh, Balangir, Ganjam, Puri and Rayagada are likely to receive very heavy rain. Even due to heavy rains, there is a threat of water logging in lower area. The weather department has warned that roads may be washed away and houses may be destroyed. A warning has also been issued. Fishermen have been warned not to go to the sea during this time.

The low pressure created in the Bay of Bengal is likely to turn into a well mark in the in the next 24 hours, the department has informed. The Special Relief Commissioner has directed the District Collector to monitor the situation for rain. It is worth noting that since Saturday, there has been heavy rain in the entire state, including the capital Bhubaneswar. Even many areas of Bhubaneswar were submerged and people were trapped. My bus was submerged due to 5 feet of water in Khurda-Jatni underpass. However, due to the possibility of more rain in the future, people are panicking.
