Man Killed After Being Hit By Odisha MP’s Car In Balangir

Balangir: A man was killed after being hit by the car of Niranjan Bishi, Rajya Sabha MP from Odisha at Tamia Chhak in Patnagarh area of Balangir district on Wednesday.

The deceased was identified as Tankadhar Biswal (35) of Indapur village under Larambha police limits.

According to reports, the incident took place after the driver of the car lost control over the wheels and hit Biswal’s car. Subsequently, he fell down under the impact of the collision and died on the spot.

On being informed, police reached the spot and recovered the body for post-mortem.

The driver of the vehicle surrendered at the Larambha police station after the road mishap.

Meanwhile, the MP stated he was not present inside the car at the time of the accident. Expressing grief over the matter, the parliamentarian said he will extend help to the family of the deceased.
