Miscreants Impersonate as Police to Loot Gold Chain in Sundargarh

Sundargarh: Two miscreants looted a gold chain from a woman by impersonating them as police. The case has come to the fore from Jail Road in Odisha’s Sundargarh town.

The victim was identified as Binodini Nayak from Mohanty Pada of the town. According to sources, when the victim was walking down the streets, she confronted the bike-borne miscreants. The miscreants reportedly advised Binodini to keep her gold chain safely in her handbag saying that it was visible and might attract the attention of thieves.

Believing them, the victim kept her jewellery in the handbag. Later, the miscreants tactfully stole the gold chain keeping an imitation chain in its place. Following this, Binodini noticed that her gold chain was already stolen by the looters.
