Miscreants Shot Social Activist Dead In Rayagada

Rayagada: Unidentified miscreants allegedly shot a social activist dead in the Gunupur area of Rayagada district on Saturday.

The deceased has been identified as Gauri Mishra, director of an NGO.

According to reports, the incident took place was passing through the Bansadhara Bridge on a motorbike when miscreants shot Mishra from close range.

Though the exact reason behind the murder is yet to be ascertained, local police have started an investigation into the crime.

A team of forensic experts also visited the spot from where Mishra’s body was recovered.
