Missing Minor Rescued After Five Days

Nayagarh: Minor who went missing while returning from private tuition was rescued today after five days. He was traced from Odagaon by local police.

The missing minor was identified as Amrit Patra.

According to sources, Amrit was rescued from Kural village under Odagaon police limits. Reportedly, someone dropped the boy near his village in the wee hours of Monday.

After being rescued, he was rushed to the nearest medical facility for a preliminary check-up.

Amrit did not return home from tuition on Thursday evening. Being worried, Amrit’s family lodged a missing complaint at the local police station. Based on the complaint, a case was registered and the district police set up 4 teams to trace the missing child. Most likely it was a case of kidnapping as the child seems to be terrified.

The minor will be produced before a judicial authority for recording his statement. The investigation is underway.
