Mobile robbers’ rampages in capital city

Bhubaneswar: Robbers are becoming more active in the capital during festivals. In the last few days, the theft and looting in the city and suburbs are increasing. Concerns have been expressed from various quarters regarding the robbery of looters in the Infocity police station area yesterday. A nurse working in a private hospital was snatched from her mobile phone by robbers who punched her in the face and threw her on the road. After that, they took away his mobile phone and ran away.

Laxmipriya Sahu, a young nurse victim of the robbery, has filed a complaint at Infocity police station. According to her complaint, yesterday evening when she was returning to the hostel in Star City after marketing, the robbers attacked her and robbed her.

Similarly, Tuition teacher Alisa Kumari was robbed near the post office in Old Bhubaneswar today. According to her complaint, 2 robbers on an Apache bike stopped her while she was going to Bank Colony from Gosagareshwar Street at 5:00 PM today. On the pretext of asking for the address, he snatched the mobile from her. After the complaint, the Lingaraj police station registered a case and started investigating the incident.
