Mysterious Nose Bleed Kills 3 in a Day; African Town Under Quarantine for Unknown Virus Outbreak

Three persons died suddenly following nose bleed caused by the outbreak of an unknown virus in Baziro, a small town in the African country of Burundi. According to media reports, these three deaths occurred within 24 hours.

All the victims showed symptoms of fever, headache, dizziness and vomiting. The health officials of the country have already ruled out Ebola and Marburg virus behind these deaths.

So, as a precautionary measure, health authorities of the country have quarantined the Baziro town.

The disease ‘kills quickly’, as the three patients experienced nose-bleeding less than 24 hours before arriving at the hospital, a nurse from the Migwa health center was quoted by the Mirror.

The Burundian Ministry of Health said the virus appears to be a contagious haemorrhagic bug.
