Nadda Appoints New BJP Chiefs for 4 States Ahead of 2024 Polls

New Delhi: BJP president J P Nadda on Thursday appointed new party chiefs for the states of Rajasthan, Bihar, Odisha, and Delhi. This is seen as a preparatory move of the BJP ahead of the 2024 elections.

Lok Sabha MP C P Joshi was named the chief of the Rajasthan BJP. The Bihar BJP unit will now be headed by MLC Samrat Choudhary.

Manmohan Samal, a former state minister, has been appointed as the party’s Odisha unit president. Delhi BJP working president Virendra Sachdeva was confirmed as the new state unit chief.

Sachdeva was made the working president of Delhi BJP after Adesh Gupta resigned from the post. He was earlier the vice president of the Delhi BJP.

In Rajasthan, Joshi replaces Satish Poonia. Samrat Chaudhary was associated with the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) and the Janata Dal (United) before he joined the BJP. Manmohan Samal replaces Samir Mohanty as the state party chief in Odisha.
