Newly-Married Couple Found Dead Before Wedding Reception in Chhattisgarh’s Raipur; Murder Suspected

Raipur: A newly-married couple was found dead before their wedding reception in Chhattisgarh’s Raipur. The bodies were found inside a room in their house sustaining stab injuries.

The deceased were identified as Aslam and Kahkasha Bano. Both of them got married on Sunday and their wedding reception was scheduled for Tuesday.

According to reports, the couple was getting ready for the function inside their room when the groom’s mother heard screams of the bride and rushed there. Reportedly, the room was locked from the inside and when they did not respond, the family members peeped through a window and found them lying unconscious in a pool of blood, following which they informed the police.

On being informed, police reached the spot. They broke open the door and found the bodies with stab injuries. The cops recovered the bodies and sent them for autopsy. They also seized a knife from the spot.

The police intercepted that an argument broke out between the couple and the man attacked his wife with a knife and then killed himself.

Investigation into the matter is underway.
