Niranjan Pujari New Health Minister following Death of Naba Das

Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Sunday allocated the Health and Family Welfare ministry to Niranjan Pujari, who happens to be the finance minister of Odisha. It will be an additional charge for the state finance minister. According to sources, it is a stop-gap arrangement. In near future the CM will hand over the health ministry to some top BJD leader.

The post of state Health and Family Welfare minister had become vacant because of the untimely sudden death of Naba Das, who held this key post in the state cabinet.

Naba Kishore Das, former Minister of Health and Family Welfare of Odisha passed away in a private hospital in Bhubaneswar while undergoing treatment on Sunday. Naba Das was shot by an ASI in Brajarajnagar of Jharsuguda district during a visit to his home constituency on Sunday.
