Bhubaneswar: Odisha government has repealed ‘Odisha Covid-19 Regulations-2020’. This imposed certain restrictions like a mass congregation, public movement without masks, and spitting in public places on Saturday.
“In view of the substantial decline of Covid-19 cases in the State over the past several months, the government after careful consideration has been pleased to repeal ‘the Odisha Covid-19 regulations, 2020 as amended from time to time, with immediate effect,” the Health And Family Welfare department notified.
Odisha Covid-19 Regulations, 2020, that imposed restictions and penalties on gatherings, wearing masks, spitting, etc, have been repealed.

On March 18, 2020, the Government issued ‘The Odisha COVID-19 Regulations, 2020’. These regulations were valid for a year. However, it was extended from time to time due to the pandemic situation.
