Odia Migrant Workers Stranded in Dubai Seek CM Mohan Majhi’s Help to Return Home

Bhubaneswar: A group of migrant workers from Jagatsinghpur, Cuttack, and Kendrapara districts in Odisha stranded in Dubai, through a video message urged Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi and BJP National Vice-President Baijayant Panda to initiate measures for their rescue from the clutches of their exploitative employer.

These migrant workers served as plumbers for this company in UAE. They have alleged mental and physical torture, non-payment of salaries, and confiscation of their passports by their employer.

These migrant workers were allegedly conned by a private recruitment agency in Bhubaneswar. They alleged that in Dubai subjected to torture and exploitation by their employer. Their passports were confiscated by their employer, leaving them stranded and unable to return home.

In their video message, these workers stranded abroad described their plight stating that they were not given food for five days and were forced to work in extreme conditions for long hours without pay. They claimed that their employer was giving life threats to them.

The workers through the video message have urged Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi and BJP leader Baijayant Panda for their rescue.
