Odisha is India’s Second Most Favored Investment Destination: CMIE

New Delhi: Right after Maharashtra, Odisha is attracting most investors. Odisha has become the second most preferred investment destination in India, as per a recent report by the Centre for Monitoring Indian Economy (CMIE). Maharashtra tops the list.

In 2022-23, Odisha received investments worth Rs 20.1 lakh crore. The highest investment was recorded by Maharashtra during the period at Rs 27.6 lakh crore.

Odisha surpassed states such as Gujarat, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, and Uttar Pradesh, which also had considerable investment inflows. Gujarat secured the third position with Rs 19.4 lakh crore, while Andhra Pradesh stood at fourth place with Rs 17.6 lakh crore.

This from CMIE reaffirms that Odisha is a prominent choice for investment opportunities because of its peaceful people, environment and infrastructural facilities.
