Odisha Vigilance Arrests Lineman for Taking Bribe

Puri: Odisha Vigilance arrested a lineman while he was demanding and accepting a bribe in Pipili sub-division of Odisha’s Puri district. He was reportedly accepting bribe from a person to provide a feasibility report for a new electricity connection to the poultry farm of his relative.

The accused was identified as Manas Ranjan Sahoo.

After receiving hints on this, the vigilance team conducted a raid and arrested Sahoo while he was accepting the bribe amount of Rs 7500 from the complainant.

The entire bribe money was recovered and seized from his possession.

A case was registered against the accused and he was arrested by the local police.
