Orchestra Singer Marries 6 Women in 4 States; Gets Caught by a Brother-in-Law

Patna: Chhotu Kumar, an orchestra singer from Bihar, married six women in four states. His illegal marriages through deceit were busted by one of his brothers-in-law, who spotted him with another woman at the Jamui railway station.

During interrogation by police, Chhotu confessed about his fraudulent marriages.

As per his confession, he has four children from his first wife and two children from the woman whom he left a year and a half ago.

Chhotu is from Javatari village under Barhat police station area of Bihar. Vikas, the brother of one of his wives named Manju had spotted him at Jamui station with a woman other than his sister on Monday evening.  Manju’s mother (Chhotu’s mother-in-law) Kobia Devi informed police that her daughter had married Chhotu in 2018 and both had two children. Chhotu had absconded around 1.5 years back.

It was found that Chhotu had also married to Kalavati Devi of Ranchi and both had four children.

Chhotu works as a singer in Deoghar’s Maa Sharda Orchestra. He has married women from Chinawaria, Sunderkand, Ranchi, Sangrampur, Delhi, and Deoghar. All his wives have children.

He married women at places where he performed.
