Over Rs 2.31 Cr Cash, 1 Kg Gold Located in a Govt Office in Rajasthan

Jaipur: Rajasthan government officials stumbled upon unclaimed cash worth Rs 2.31 crore and 1 kg gold bars at Yojana Bhawan, a government building in Jaipur.

Around 7-8 persons in the department are being interrogated by police in this connection.

More than Rs 2.31 crores of cash and about 1 kg of gold biscuits was found to be packed in a bag kept in a cupboard at the basement of the government-owned Yojana Bhawan office in Jaipur. Police have seized the cash and gold under section 102 CrPC. An investigation is on.

CCTV footage of the office is being searched. CM Ashok Gehlot has also been informed regarding this incident.
