Padampur Bypoll: BJP Candidate Alleges Attack by BJD Activists

Padampur: Pradip Purohit, the BJP candidate for Padampur bypoll alleged on Wednesday that he was attacked by some BJD activists while he was holding a meeting at a village.

He made this accusation at a press meet. The senior BJP leader and former MLA alleged that on Tuesday night some BJD ‘goons’ tried to attack him, while he was attending a campaign meeting at a village. According to him, around ten persons vandalized his meeting place. They allegedly damaged the tent at the meeting place and also snatched away the mike from his hand.

According to him, the miscreants beat up some BJP workers at the venue and also tried to attack him. He claimed that some BJD leaders including ministers were behind the incident.
