Pakistan Left Gasping As England Hammer Record Runs In First Session Of A Test Match

Rawalpindi: The England openers Zak Crawley and Ben Duckett on Thursday came out all guns blazing, hammering a boastful Pakistan bowling lineup on a batting-friendly pitch to help England pile up 174 without loss in the first session of the opening test in Rawalpindi.

Subsequently, England broke the record of scoring the most runs in the first session of a test match, surpassing India’s previous mark of 158 against Afghanistan (27 overs).

On the first day of the first Test, which began on Thursday in Rawalpindi, England crushed Pakistan thanks to centuries from Ben Duckett and Zak Crawley.

Notably, this is the 2nd leg of England’s Pakistan tour 2022. England had earlier played Pakistan in a 7-match T20I series in September-October in the first leg of their tour and are back to play the three pre-scheduled tests from Dec 1 to Dec 21.
