Participant of Triathlon from Rajasthan Dies During Event in Odisha’s Puri

Puri: A participant in the triathlon organised at Ramchandi on the Puri-Konark marine drive in Odisha’s Puri district passed away.

The deceased was identified as Nitin Soni of Jodhpur in Rajasthan and was residing in Mumbai.

According to reports, during the event, Soni fell ill and asked to return hotel where he was staying. As his condition deteriorated, he was rushed to the Government Hospital at Konark by the organisers of the event. Later he was shifted to the district headquarters hospital, where he was declared brought dead by the attending doctors.

The cause of death is not yet ascertained. Soni’s family has been informed about his demise. His body has been preserved at the morgue in Puri and will be handed over to his family on their arrival.
