Patient Attempts Suicide Bid At Jharsuguda DHH; Rescued

Jharsuguda: A patient attempted to commit suicide at Jharsuguda District Headquarters Hospital on Tuesday.

According to reports, the man was admitted to the psychiatric ward in the Jharsuguda DHH on the fifth floor. He allegedly climbed on the parapet and was attempting suicide.

The matter came to the fore after locals spotted the man and immediately informed the hospital authorities, who later called the rescue team of Odisha disaster management.

On being informed, the firefighters reached the spot and after pertinent efforts, the fire department personnel successfully rescued the man with the help of ropes. However, it is not clear how the patient reached there.
