Pet Dog Raped for 2 yrs by 60-Yr-Old Man in Bengal; Arrested When Video Goes Viral

Kolkata: A 60-year-old man from Chouhati Payarabagan area of Sonarpur police station of South 24 Parganas in West Bengal was arrested on charges of raping his pet dog for two years at his home.

The accused Ratikant Sardar was arrested on Thursday evening after a couple of neighbours caught him on camera while committing the act, reported India Today.

Sardar was involved in sexual relations with his pet dog for nearly two years. His neighbours had repeatedly asked him to refrain from such an act. At last the neighbours shot a video of the accused while he was engaged in intercourse with the dog and shared it on social media.

A member of Kolkata Animal Welfare Foundation came across the video earlier this week. The organization filed a written complaint against the accused at Sonarpur police station, leading to his arrest.

The police registered a complaint under section 377 (voluntarily having carnal intercourse against the order of nature) against Sardar. The dog was sent to a veterinary hospital, where its sexual abuse was confirmed.
